Successful kick-off meeting of the EPAAC Joint Action PDF Print E-mail

On 1-2 March 2011 the first Joint Action meeting of the coordinator and the lead partners of the EPAAC Joint Action was held in Dublin. The meeting took place in a very positive atmosphere and was marked by the will of all partners to act together.

The first Joint Action meeting of the EPAAC Joint Action was  highly interactive and organized in presentations and disscussions.  On the  the first day, organizational issues were handled and all leading partners presented their Work Packages (2, 4, 5, 6, 7, 8, 9 and 10) and their plans of actions for 2011 and their overall goals in the Joint Action.

On the second day two meetings took place:  In the morning the Working Group on National Cancer Plans met. The purpose of the meeting was to present the structure of the National Cancer Plans questionnaires, to address unclear points regarding the structure of questionnaires and to encourage all Member States to send their National Cancer Plans to the Work Package 10 team.  Further action steps were determined and the dates for the next meeting concluded.

Finally, in the afternoon the Steering Committee gathered. The objective of the meeting was to have in-depth discussion on how to cooperate and to discuss on the activities of each Work Package. Another important topic of the meeting was the participation in different working formations – it was decided that expanded delegations are possible but should be exceptions rather than rule. The day was concluded in positive working atmosphere.
